What I will do without FitzChivalry Farseer and his wolf Nighteyes, the Fool, Kettricken, the dragons, and all the rest, I have no idea. Leaving these characters after such a long engagement leaves me a bit bereft. Five stars. Highly recommended.

I planned to reduce my stack of fiction books after reading Robin Hobb’s Assassin series, but I was weak. Hardship, courage, love, and loyalty… it was all here. A trilogy well worth reading.

If you’re looking for an entertaining diversion, this is one of those books that quickly ascends to the hard-to-put-down category. And because it’s book one of a trilogy, there’s much to look forward to.

Annie Leibovitz’s lovely, candid, conversational style made me feel as though she and I had spent a day at a coffee house just talking about making pictures.

One of this year’s best books—a wonderful weekend or camping book. Read the Amazon reviews.

When nothing else could take my mind off the worsening economic conditions, this book did! Highly recommended.
