Although I am a father with 3 sons, I cannot imagine how difficult this time has been for you and your family. I hope that you are able to remember the happy times you shared with her and that these memories sustain you in the days to come. My most sincere best wishes to you and those you love.

Steve comments on What Is Boudoir Photography, Anyway?

This is a great blog. I love the line, "photography of and for one". That really sums it up, and it will help me describe to my clients the mindset I want them to be in. Now the trick is getting them there. LOL Maybe you have a blog about that. I'll look around your site.
Thank you for your insight.
Steve
www.graceinlight.com

Susan comments on Why Blogging Is Important for Boudoir Photographers... or Is It?

Hmmm. Thanks for this interesting blog. I don't always make time for blogging, but while I have learned it's important for my portraiture business, now that I've spun off with a new boudoir-specific site, it seems I'd better ramp up my efforts on the boudoir end as well. Best wishes! Everything that you said is so true! As an photographer young to the business, I at first was a purist believing that the talent should be in taking the photo and not altering it..just a little tweaking of exposure, white balance and some saturation. Over the time working on my photos I have strayed from that way of thinking for the exact reason that you spoke of...the lie in the truth. Sunsets captured in a picture are never the same as what you remember because it was the atmosphere and the person that you were with that enhanced the sunset. Just like when you look at your wife/girlfriend/lover you see them but it's the emotions that you feel towards them that makes them so much more beautiful and it's this that we try to translate into the image!
Great post! I look forward to reading more from you!
Mike

Rena comments on What Is Boudoir Photography, Anyway?

I would have to say that is an awesome way of describing this type of photography. I agree completely.
Our clients and potential models all tell us that they find out "who we really are" via our blog.

Blogging enables readers to feel like they really know you (this is true to some extent, but not all) and more importantly to feel as if they have a bond with you. When seeking potential clients, this can only be a good thing.
